On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 12th Conference of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (SKP PTK), we invite you to the autumn Conference, which will be held in Warsaw on October 13-15, 2022.
This year's Conference will be unique because it will take place less than two months after the European Society of Cardiology and the European Respiratory Society announced their latest guidelines for the management of pulmonary hypertension.
From It has been 7 years since the publication of the previous recommendations, so many changes and innovations can be expected.
The conference will be an opportunity to listen to lectures and discussions by the greatest authorities in the field of pulmonary circulation from Poland and abroad – including the authors of the aforementioned guidelines.
In addition to the European guidelines, the organizers will present and discuss the positions of the Polish Cardiac Society's Pulmonary Circulation Section announced last year regarding the management of thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and qualification for lung transplantation procedures.
As is tradition, the Knight of the Righteous Heart statuette will be presented to another exceptional individual who has permanently changed the treatment of pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension worldwide. You'll find out who that person is when you visit!
There will be regular program items, such as hemodynamic and echocardiography workshops, nursing sessions, the annual summary of the BNP-PL National Pulmonary Hypertension Database, lectures on new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of acute pulmonary embolism, and a shared dinner.
Traditionally, the organizers, along with the Polish Association of Patients with Pulmonary Hypertension and Their Friends, will join the Get Breathless for Pulmonary Hypertension campaign and compete for the Association's Cup in sports competitions. This year, in solidarity with those suffering from pulmonary hypertension, they will fight until they lose their breath in volleyball matches.
