On Saturday, February 28, the annual Union Day event took place in Lublin - a meeting of Branch representatives with the Main Board.
Local PTSF branches are represented by a Branch Board, headed by a Chairperson. They serve as the communication channel between individual Board Members and local branches.
They express the opinions of their colleagues at the national level, primarily during the General Assembly of Delegates, but also at regular meetings with the Board of Directors. One of these meetings is held annually in person, in the city where the Association's President is currently studying.
This year's Union Day was attended by the Chairmen of the local PTSF branches, the Executive Board, as well as the National Coordinators and the Chief Audit Committee. This representation allows the Executive Board to provide the most important information to the branches, allows for the hearing of current issues at the local level, and creates a space for exchanging views and discussing ideas for the future of the Association.
This year's Union Day focused on PTSF's development plans for the coming years. Discussions included the state of Member involvement in branches, plans for upcoming educational campaigns, proposed updates to Member support programs, ideas for organizing national events, and local branch collaborations with professional associations and other organizations.
The most important conclusion from the entire meeting is that the PTSF remains an organization based on the voluntary, charitable work of pharmacy students. We are people with a common goal, similar resources, and diverse ideas, but we share one thing: concern for the state of pharmacy, especially for those in training and just entering the healthcare market.
And we all look towards the pharmacy of tomorrow with optimism, although we are aware of the challenges that lie ahead.
